Description

The ROTOFLUID joint is a hydrodynamic joint created to ensure maximum safety, good functioning and durability of the transmission. It is located between the engine (driving part) and the machine (driven part).

The fluid couplings can be equipped with single SCF or double DCF retarder chamber. With the simple SCF retarder chamber the Ca/Cn torque limitation varies from 180% to 150% by varying the quantity of oil in the joint. With the double delay chamber DCF the torque limitation Ca/Cn varies from 150% to 120% by varying the quantity of oil in the coupling. The advantages of the delay chambers become evident as the power to be transmitted increases.

The SCF and DCF retard chamber are available from size 30 to size 95P.

For very gradual starts with acceleration torques slightly higher than the nominal torque, CA type couplings with annular chamber can be used.

The CA hydraulic coupling with annular delay chamber, in addition to maintaining the numerous advantages of the Rotofluid hydraulic couplings, thanks to its construction shape (large delay chamber and annular chamber), has the following main characteristics:

  • start systems with large inertia;
  • notably reduce the engine torque when starting:
  • considerably limit the current absorbed during machine start-up

Fields of use : control units for starting machines with high inertial loads such as mills, crushers, conveyor belts.
